Who You Are Dealing With
We work from 20 Alma Street in Hamilton Central and pour across Hamilton City and the wider Waikato, from Rototuna and Flagstaff through to Tamahere, Horotiu and Ōhaupō.
The crew is licensed and carries public liability insurance on every residential and commercial job. Ten years in, most of our work now comes from people who have seen a driveway we poured for someone they know.

What We Build
Three kinds of customer call us, and the ground under each of them behaves differently. The work is the same trade. The build is not.
Driveways, house slabs, patios, paths, steps and shed pads. A standard driveway goes down at 100 mm in 20 MPa over compacted basecourse, with 665 mesh in the top third at 30 mm cover and joints cut.
That build carries cars, utes and vans up to 2.5 tonnes.
Warehouse floors, yard hardstand, car parks and loading areas, staged so a business keeps trading. Thickness starts at 150 mm and the grade follows the loading, 25 MPa to 3 tonnes gross, 30 MPa above it, 40 MPa where solid tyres run.
Surface tolerance is set in the specification before the pour.
Implement bays, shed floors, dairy hardstand, tanker tracks and lifestyle block driveways around the Hamilton fringe. Heavier point loading and worse ground than city work, so joints and steel get designed for movement.
Peat in the Rukuhia swamp has been measured subsiding 25.6 mm a year.
How We Build It
Most concreting quotes describe the finish. Ours describes what is under it, because that is what decides whether a slab is still flat in ten years.
Curing is a minimum of 3 days, and 7 where heavier traffic is going on it. Foot traffic once it has had a day or two, vehicles at seven days and longer in winter. We give you the timeframe for your pour rather than a rule of thumb.
Why We Look First
Two things about Hamilton ground change what your job costs. Which soil you are on, and how deep the water sits.
On the free-draining Horotiu soils across the low mounds a standard build works, around 100 mm of compacted basecourse under the slab. Drop into a Te Kowhai swale and that goes to 200 mm or more with subsoil drainage, and the job costs more.
Peat is the other one. It covers 19.5% of Hamilton City by area and Council geotechnical work puts peat soils nearer 24%, almost all of it on the western side. There we design joints and reinforcement for ground that keeps moving, and where the peat runs deep the slab needs an engineer.
You cannot tell which you have from the street, and neither can we. That is what the free site visit is for.
Paperwork We Handle
Where a job touches the road reserve, the approvals sit with us. You are not chasing Council between quotes.
Hamilton City Council states it needs to approve, inspect and sign off new crossings and repairs, and to be contacted before work starts. Repairs are included in that, which catches a lot of people out.
