We set falls away from the house and finish to NZS 3114. Where the area sits below a door threshold, the level has to be worked out before the boxing goes in, not after. Decorative finishes get chosen at the quote stage, since colour and aggregate both carry lead times.
We pour shed floors and garage pads on Huntly sections, and the slab is decided by what goes on it rather than by the size of the shed.
A floor for storage and a floor with a hoist over it are different pours. Standard is 100 mm, heavier where load concentrates, with the mix stepped up above 3 tonnes gross. Say what will sit on it at the quoting stage, because strength cannot be retro-fitted once it is down.

Repair is the answer we give more often than people expect, and Huntly has 2,832 private dwellings, most of them long established. Cracks get stitched and filled where the crack is stable and the slab either side is sound.
Joint resealing keeps water from working under the panels, which is what turns a small problem into a replacement.
Where panels have lifted or settled, a resurface hides the movement without fixing it. We will tell you that at the assessment, not after.

That is worth checking against anything else you are quoted, because plenty of published rates are supply and place only, with excavation, base and cartage added afterwards.
